A commitment to ongoing learning and training is essential to your success as USC postdoctoral scholars. Every academic year, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and their programming partners present various innovative and substantive programs that allow you to further enhance your intellectual and professional development. And while there are plenty of great resources and programs offered, we recognize that time away from your lab and research presents a challenge in identifying and participating in programs and resources that can help you master your targeted competencies and goals while at USC.
This resource site was developed to assist postdoctoral scholars in identifying and navigating USC’s supplemental postdoctoral training program.
There are three programming tracks: Research, Teaching and Industry. They are designed as mini-curriculums, consisting of 4-5 core workshops and an ‘elective’ – other workshops/training that you may find interesting. Take advantage of the workshops available every semester, they represent the best of what our programming partners have to offer. To complete a track, postdoctoral scholars should participate in 4 workshops – noting your participation on your IDP and discussing them with your mentor during your scheduled meeting(s). Upon completion of a track, contact the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs to receive your digital certificate and/or badge via LinkedIn.
